Collector’s Home

Alan and Janice Lipton, the founders of the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) Miami, recruited Tamara Felman to design the interiors of their Miami home. As notable collectors with access to the finest innovative contemporary artists, their residence became the perfect white canvas to exhibit their personal collection. Feldman curated the interiors around the art, creating a narrative and visual experience that enhances the art and the emotional connection to each piece.

Carefully emphasizing the art in each room while balancing the aesthetic to feel welcoming and personal took methodical design consideration from Feldman’s team. Architectural enhancements from recessed lighting to custom millwork elevated the apartment’s layout to look and feel refined with a minimalist approach. Sculptural furnishings, playful colors, patterns, textures, and luxe finishes play supporting roles to the notable art that becomes the protagonist in each ambiance. The eye does not need to travel far in this remarkable residence to encounter renowned artists from Frank Stella in the living room and the Donald Judd in the dining room to the Damien Hirst, Lichtenstein, and Anish Kapoor.
